FAQ’s for Families

How do you find your nannies?

We find our nannies through a variety of channels, including referrals, online recruiting, word of mouth and in house nanny networks

How do you screen candidates before accepting them to the agency?

fter the candidates complete the extensive preliminary forms, we contact them by phone to confirm the information that they included on the application. During the phone interview, we collect contact information for their professional references. If the references provide positive feedback and we’re still interested in pursuing the candidate, we’ll invite the candidate for an in-person interview at our office or a video call depending on the location of the candidate. Please click here for more information on applicant screening process

What kind of experience do your nannies have?

All of our nannies have verified professional working experience with excellent references.

How soon can I schedule an interview with a nanny?

We can start sending you candidates to interview within days after the consultation. Also, depending on the needs of your family, it can sometimes take up to 2-6 weeks.

If I meet two great candidates, how will I know which one to choose?

This is why we’re here. We’ll help guide you through the process and make sure that you choose the one that is the absolute best fit for your family.

What if the nanny doesn’t work out?

We have a guarantee for scenarios like this. We do everything possible to make sure that we place you with the right candidate the first time. If something doesn’t work out within the free replacement period of 90 days, we’ll replace the nanny at no cost to you. If the relationship fails after the free replacement period is over, we’ll give you a prorated discount based on the employee’s first and last day of employment which you can use towards your search for a replacement. Please click here for additional information on fees and replacements.

Would you hire the nannies in your agency for yourself?

Absolutely. This is why Find The Right Nanny was founded. We will never accept or place any candidate that we wouldn’t use ourselves.

Do I have to pay for the nanny’s commuting costs?

No. The nanny is responsible for any costs of commuting back and forth to work. You can use your own discretion to help pay for any tolls involved in the daily commute. Doing so is not expected and is completely up to you.

I work from home. Are your nannies ok with this?

We discuss the details of each position with every candidate that we send to you for an interview. We will only send candidates who agree with this arrangement.

Do you still provide services even after the hire?

We are here to help you every step of the way. We will consult with you, advise you and assist with any necessary mediation. Whatever you need, whenever you need it.

I’m interested in using your agency to fill a position. What’s the next step?

Please give us a call or use the contact us form, and we’ll give you a call within 24 hours or sooner after we receive it.

Can we do a trial period or working interview with the potential candidate?

Absolutely! We strongly recommend a trial before making a final offer to the Applicant to make sure that you and the nanny are on the same page. Please keep in mind that you’ll be paying the nanny during the trial period.

Who pays the nanny?

You are the nanny’s employer and are responsible for paying the nanny directly.

Do I need to pay Nanny taxes

The nanny is your employee and so you need to be aware of your responsibilities as a household employer. Please contact homework solutions or GtM payroll services for further help on taxes.
