Find the Right Nanny was founded by a nanny. We have your best interests at heart. We understand the needs of every nanny and work very hard to match you with a family who will value and appreciate
At Find the Right Nanny, we respect our nannies. We know that being an amazing nanny takes hard work, dedication, genuine love for children and an unwavering commitment.
Our services are free for nannies. There are no fees associated with placing you in a position. All of our fees are paid by your employer.
If you meet our requirements, you can fill out the application form here. After receiving and reviewing your application, we will contact you shortly to confirm the information that you provided on the application and discuss next steps with you.
The families who use our services find us through friends, word of mouth, and online searches.
The time it takes to find the right position depends on the requirements of the clients, your experience, the uniqueness of the desired position, your desired working hours, your background and your desired start date. No matter what those factors are, we’ll work with you to find you the perfect match for you.
We are here for whatever you need. We will educate you before your interview with a family, to help set you up for success. We will continue to provide you with advice, and consultation throughout the interview, hiring process and beyond.
Absolutely. We will continue to support you as you work for your new family. We will give you the guidance that you need to develop and sustain a healthy working relationship with your new family. We will continue to check in with you to make sure that everything is going well throughout your employment period. We will help you communicate with your employer or handle disputes if they arise.
No one will force you to stay in a position that you do not enjoy, however when you accept a position with a family, you are expected to commit to the duration of time agreed upon. So think carefully and communicate any reservations you may have regarding a family before accepting the position.
We love working with Nannies who have children of their own, and we do understand that sometimes you may have last minute backup problems for your kid(s) that will cause you to bring your child to work. However, it is not possible to take your child to work on a regular basis.
Your number one priority will be the care and safety of the children in your care. You’ll be expected to do tasks related to the kids like doing their laundry, preparing meals, keeping play areas clean, picking children up from school, keeping your work condition the same or better than you found it every day.
Any additional chores related to the children will be discussed with you before you accept a position.
You should also keep in mind that some families require light housekeeping and this is not uncommon. Light housekeeping might involve tidying the living room areas or any other specific tasks expected by the family. However, you should let the agency know what you can or cannot do before accepting a position to avoid any misunderstanding and disappointment.
All levels of education are welcome to apply. However, we do require that you have at least three years of paid, verifiable professional working experience and excellent professional references
Find the right nanny is a referral agency and do not pay your salary. The family who hired you is your employer and is responsible for paying your salary.
No! You do not give any part of your salary to the agency. We do not charge you a fee or take any part of your pay. Find the Right Nanny is absolutely free for nannies.
TrustLine is California’s registry of in-home child care providers, tutors, in-home counselors, and child care staff at Ancillary Child Care Centers who have passed a background screening.
TrustLine is an effectivc tool for parents to check the backgrounds of a babysitter, nanny, tutors and in-home counselors to determine if an applicant has criminal convictions or substantiated child abuse reports in California. TrustLine is the only background check authorized by state law to use three databases that the general public, including private investigators and private background check companies, cannot access. These databases include the fingerprint records from the California Department of Justice’s California Criminal History System; the Child Abuse Central Index of California; and fingerprint records of the FBI Criminal History System.
TrustLine is easy to use for parents and providers. Applicants complete a one-page form, which requires submitting fingerprints and a one-time fee to the Department of Social Services. If candidates pass the background check, they will be listed on the TrustLine database
